The FS20x2 has been designed for areas where there is limited space behind the valve. All of the ports are positioned around the side of the valve body. There needs to be a 33.5mm or 1.319" clearance from the top plate to fit this valve.

The 3 ports click to view image illustrate the port to the left and right tank and the centre port, which is the feed to the engine. This particular diagram shows the valve with AN-6 fittings. Please refer to the fittings page for details on other types of fittings.

The reason this valve is in this configuration, is to prevent cross feed when the valve is in the 'OFF' position, i.e. fuel from the left tank cannot flow into the right tank, and vice versa. Also this arrangement of 'porting' allows there to be a constant supply of fuel as the valve is moved from one selection to the other. i.e. the valve does not pass through 'OFF' when changing tanks.

On the FS20x2 there is a 90 degree action between the LEFT and RIGHT tank position. At each selection there is a firm detent, as the sprung loaded lever spindle rides up and rolls into a hardened steel insert. This system has evolved after extensive R&D and provides for a really positive action.
